Vehicle history check
A full check of the car’s history: auction sheets, mileage, accidents, pledges and restrictions.
Checked against the databases
Accidents, stolen-vehicle records, restrictions on registration and pledges — before any money is paid for the car.
The report stays with you
We send it as a document: you can read it through calmly and show it to your own specialist.
See what you can import for your budget
Over 11 000 listings from eight markets. Filter by the turnkey price, not the price abroad — so the comparison is honest.
Updated daily.
The car in the photographs and the car in reality are often two different cars. A fresh polish hides traces of repair, a rolled-back odometer turns a taxi into “a car driven by a grandmother”, and a pledge or a seizure surfaces only after the money has gone to the seller. A history check exists so that this comes out before the deal, not after it.
Every market has its own logic of checking, and no universal report exists. We work on every direction we import from, and on each one we use the sources that are genuinely filled with data in that country. Below is what those sources are and what exactly they show.
A separate and the most important part is cross-checking the data. One report on its own proves little: an auction sheet describes the condition on the day of the bidding, a manufacturer’s database knows only visits to an official dealer, and insurance archives record only reported claims. The value appears when the sources start to contradict one another: the mileage in the control units does not match the entry in the service history, an “undamaged” car has a photograph in the archive taken after an impact, and the specification does not match the factory one.
What you end up with is not a set of screenshots but a clear picture: how far the car has really travelled, what happened to it, whether it was repaired and what that means, whether it is legally clear and what it is really worth given everything that was found. We do the check before the purchase — so that the decision rests on facts and the haggling rests on documents.

What we check
Real mileage
We compare the odometer with service records, control units, auction sheets and roadworthiness tests. Discrepancies show up straight away.
Accidents and repairs
Insurance claims, replacement of body panels, traces of paintwork and work on the load-bearing structure of the body.
Clear legal status
Pledges, loans, leases, seizures, restrictions on registration and stolen-vehicle records in the databases of the export and import countries.
Factory specification
Decoding of the VIN and the factory sticker: which options were fitted originally and what was added later.
Service history
Dates and mileages of service visits, how regular the replacements were, warranty repairs and repeat visits.
Recall campaigns
Outstanding factory rectifications — the things you would have to put right at your own expense in the destination country.
How the car was used
Taxi, car sharing, rental, lease or private ownership. The same mileage, different wear.
A fair price
A comparison with similar cars on the export market, adjusted for everything the reports turned up.
Checks by market: sources and particulars
Japan
The most transparent market. The basis of the check is the auction sheet: an independent inspector gives an overall grade for the body and the interior and draws a diagram with letter codes for defects on every panel. We add data on deregistration and a mileage cross-check.
Sources: USS, TAA, JAA and ARAI auction sheets · the VIN report database
South Korea
The main body of data is the Encar platform and the state insurance payouts system. It shows every claim made to an insurer with the repair amounts: separately for the driver’s own fault and for the other party’s, as well as the replacement of body panels.
Sources: Encar, Carhistory, Korean insurance databases
The USA and Canada
The most detailed reports. Carfax and AutoCheck gather data from insurers, the police, service centres and registration authorities. The key thing is the title status: Salvage, Rebuilt, Flood, Junk. We add the archives of the Copart and IAAI auctions with photographs of the damage.
Sources: Carfax, AutoCheck, NMVTIS, the Copart and IAAI archives
Germany and Europe
Harder: there is no single accident database in the EU and the data is scattered across countries. We rely on service books and history at official dealers, TÜV roadworthiness records with mileages, and pan-European databases of theft and pledges.
Sources: CarVertical, Carfax Europe, the dealer databases of the makes, TÜV records
China
A young market with almost no public databases. The check is built differently: decoding the VIN, comparison with the factory specification, a history request to the dealer and a compulsory hands-on inspection. For electric cars we check the condition of the battery separately.
Sources: dealer databases, manufacturer data, inspection on site
The UAE and the Middle East
The data is limited, but the region has its own particulars: cars often have low mileage and no corrosion, yet the consequences of overheating and sand do turn up. We check the service history at the dealer and the import status — some of the cars get there after accidents in the USA.
Sources: dealer databases, a VIN check for American origin
The CIS countries
We check the traffic police (GIBDD) databases and their equivalents in Belarus, Kazakhstan and Georgia: accidents, stolen-vehicle records and restrictions on registration. Separately — pledges in the register of the notarial chamber and the history of registration actions.
Sources: GIBDD databases, the register of pledges, the national registers of the CIS
Cross-checking between sources
The final stage for any market. The data from the reports is compared with one another and with the results of the hands-on inspection: the mileage in the control units, the paint thickness on each panel, the state of the interior and the wear on the assemblies. Contradictions are the main find of any check.
Carried out on every car regardless of the direction
Questions and answers
Each market has its own sources: Carfax and the title status for the USA, auction sheets for Japan, the insurance history and service records for Korea, service databases for Europe. We use what actually works for the particular region.
