How do Copart and IAAI differ from the dealer platforms?

Copart and IAAI are mostly insurance lots, that is cars after an incident or with a problematic title. Manheim and the dealer platforms carry cars in working order. Prices at the insurance auctions are lower, but the checking there has to be far more serious.

How can the real condition of a lot be judged?

We look at the damage photos, the Carfax report, the title status and the history by VIN, and where needed we order an inspection at the yard. On insurance lots this is the main thing you pay our fee for — otherwise the purchase turns into a lottery.

What if the bid does not win?

We look for the next suitable lot — bidding runs regularly. Your deposit stays with you towards the deal and is returned in full up to the moment of purchase.

Who arranges delivery and customs after the bidding?

We do: shipping, logistics, customs clearance, the broker, lab testing and the electronic vehicle passport (ePTS). You receive a customs-cleared car with documents in your city and become its first owner in Russia.
